Absorptive Heat Control Filters

Heat control filters limit the amount of infra-red radiation which would otherwise be transmitted through and optical system. Since the glass absorbs infra-red, excess heat may need to be removed by forced convection. These are polished glass filters using Schott glasses. 

Glass types offered include KG-1, KG-2, KG-3, KG-4 and KG-5.

Standard filters are circular (12.7 or 25.4mm diameter) or square (50.8 x 50.8 mm) in shape. Thickness usually 2mm.
