Ultra-broadband Neutral Plate Beamsplitters

For low power applications these plate beamsplitters provide a spectrally neutral reflectivity over a broad spectrum.  The transmission and reflection values are equal within 3% over the entire visible spectrum.  They utilize a thin film of Inconel alloy, which is both durable and of neutral density over a wide wavelength range.  This film is deposited on BK7 optical glass or UV fused silica.  The resulting beamsplitters are useful for applications spanning the visible to the near infra-red (350 – 2500 nm) when using BK7.  If required for use in the UV, the range can be extended down to 200 nm by using UV fused silica substrate material.

These beamsplitters are strongly absorbing, making them unsuitable for high power applications.  The ratio of reflection/transmission/absorption is approximately 1:1:1.5.   Usual sizes are 25.4, 50.8, 76.2 mm diameter or 50.8 mm square but other sizes can be supplied on request.
