Plano-convex Lenses for the Infra-red

Plano-convex lenses are commonly used focusing lenses.  They are available in low absorption, CVD grown Zinc Selenide, or single crystal Germanium.

A range of focal lengths, diameters are offered as well as several specific configurations to suit common replacement lenses for CO₂ laser systems. Focal lengths range from 25.4 to 381 mm (1” to 15”).

Typical diameters offered are: 12.7, 15.2, 19.1, 25.4, 27.9, 38.1 and 50.8 mm. (1/2”, 0.6”, 3/4”, 1”, 1.1”, 1.5”, 2”) Thickness varies from 2.5 to 7.6 mm as appropriate to suit the individual mounting requirements. 

Lenses are normally supplied uncoated but a range of anti-reflection coatings are available including one for low reflectance at 10.6μm.
