Meniscus Lenses for the Infra-red

Meniscus lenses are commonly used as focusing lenses for CO₂ laser systems.  They are available in low absorption, CVD grown Zinc Selenide, or single crystal Germanium.

A range of focal lengths, diameters are offered as well as several specific configurations to suit common replacement lenses. Focal lengths range from 25.4 to 381 mm (1” to 15”).

Typical diameters offered are: 12.7, 15.2, 19.1, 25.4, 27.9, 38.1 and 50.8 mm. (1/2”, 0.6”, 3/4”, 1”, 1.1”, 1.5”, 2”) Thickness varies from 2.5 to 8.9 mm as appropriate to suit the individual mounting requirements. 

Lenses are normally supplied uncoated but a range of anti-reflection coatings are available including one for low reflectance at 10.6μm.
