Optics for the Ultra-Violet
The short wavelength of ultra-violet radiation provides for higher resolution. However, many optical glasses cease to transmit in the ultra-violet so the range of materials and coatings which can be used is limited. The optics we offer here use high quality UV transmitting materials and are finished to standards appropriate for UV use. We can supply many types of ultra-violet optics so please contact us with your inquiry. Here are some of the main products we offer- (click on the links for details and datasheets):
Calcium and Magnesium Fluoride Windows -VUV transmitting fluoride windows.
Fused Silica Windows - high quality UV fused silica windows - round, square or elliptical.
High Power Excimer Laser Mirrors - external mirrors for use with excimer lasers.
Broadband Dielectric Mirrors - dielectric mirrors with high reflectivity over a broad UV band.
Enhanced Aluminium Mirrors - enhanced UV reflectance metal mirrors.
Air-Spaced Etalons - precision air-spaced etalons for excimer lasers.
Non-Polarising Beamsplitters - for UV beamsplitting independent of polarisation.
Partial Reflectance Beamsplitters - selected reflectances for UV radiation.
Right Angle Prisms - UV fused silica prisms for good UV transmittance.
Plate Polarisers - high power Brewster angle thin film polarisers.
Polarising Cube Beamsplitters - good extinction ratio at specific UV wavelengths.
Quartz Waveplates - quarter and half wave retarders for the UV.
Plano-convex Lenses - positive focal lengths in Magnesium Fluoride, Calcium Fluoride or UVFS.
Plano-concave Lenses - negative focal lengths in Magnesium Fluoride, Calcium Fluoride or UVFS.
UV Neutral Density Filters - flat spectral response filters working down to 200nm.
UV Bandpass Filters - thin film filters to define the UVA, UVB and UVC spectral regions.
